Somehow I have missed this news. HP has released WebOS 2.2.4 … also for the PRE2. Tonight I have installed it. The most important thing is the Skype-support. And yes it is perfectly integrated. Messages can be sent with the messaging-app and calls can be made directly from the addressbook or the dial-app.

I have also recognized some smaller improvements like the receiving-date and -time in the popup-menu of a message and the new SIM-pin-request-screen that does now look exactly as the phone-pin-request-screen.

Zunächst einmal will ich direkt am Klavier Noten setzen und nicht am Schreibtisch sitzend programmieren . Daher kamen “Compiler” wie LiliPond erst einmal nicht in Frage. Nach einiger Recherche bin ich schlussendlich bei MuseScore hängengeblieben. Und was soll ich sagen – es kann alles was ich brauche:

• Noten setzen mit der Maus und jeder Menge Shortcuts (WYSIWYG)
• Intonationsanweisungen
• Fingersatzanweisungen
• Diverse Textelemente wie Titel, Lyrics, Harmonien, usw.
• MIDI-Keyboard-Unterstützung
• Midi Im- und Export
• Audiowiedergabe

Auf der Website von MuseScore gibt es neben dem Handbuch auch ein 10-teiliges Videotutorial. Damit lässt sich die Bedienung des Programms sehr schnell erlernen.
