After having some memory-problems in a high-load-situation I’ve read some stuff about Javas Garbage Collection:

I lost all hope to get Skype running on my PRE2.

Somehow I have missed this news. HP has released WebOS 2.2.4 … also for the PRE2. Tonight I have installed it. The most important thing is the Skype-support. And yes it is perfectly integrated. Messages can be sent with the messaging-app and calls can be made directly from the addressbook or the dial-app.

I have also recognized some smaller improvements like the receiving-date and -time in the popup-menu of a message and the new SIM-pin-request-screen that does now look exactly as the phone-pin-request-screen.

OK, es hat funktioniert, die Trackbackfunktion wird für eine Weile deaktiviert. Ich hab einfach keine Lust täglich zig Trackbacks ala “dieser Link hat nichts mit Ihrem Post zu tun, trotzdem ist er einen Klick wert” auszusortieren.

OK, it worked. Trackbacks are deactivated for the next time. I just don’t like to mark tons of trackbacks as spam every day that contain stuff like “while the sites we link to below are completely unrelated to ours, we think they are worth a read”.

Nach Zeitquatscher ist MsgTmpl nun mein zweites WebOS-Programm, das es in den Appcatalog geschafft hat, bzw. im Laufe des Tages dort auftauchen sollte.

MsgTmpl is my second WebOS-APP that have reached the app-catalog (should appear within the next hours).
